Info
If a person has a foot injury, they walk with a cane—but that’s not something an elephant can do! At the Singapore Zoo, special boots have been designed for elephants with aching feet by a company that normally makes footwear and clothing for humans. Designing the boots was difficult, not only because an elephant’s foot moves in a very different way from that of a human, but because the clever elephants keep finding inventive ways to undo the zippers and fasteners that keep the boots on their feet.
